Located right in front of Sandakan Hotel in town
They say this restaurant has the same management as Hawaii restaurant (n.b. Please refer to old post about Hawaii!)
California~~ (They really like naming their restaurant according to US states don't they?aha)
More seat provided compared to Hawaii so you dont need to wait too long
I was hungry and broke so i ordered this set lunch which is less than rm10
Comes with soup and bread, 3 choices of main course, Ice cream and Coffee/Tea (Worthy eh)
If you dont order any drinks they will still serve you with refillable ice water
First to come is the Corn Soup and Bread - Absolutely love the warm half toasted bread XD
The the main course - I ordered Lamb Chop
YUuum...how i wish they put more sauce on it tho
Then some coffee
And some berry ice cream..
Or else, you can order other dishes like this Black Pepper Lamb Rice
(around rm4-rm6 perhaps?)
It's not bad too...cheap haha

Chocolate Rain
Located in Indah Mile 4...at the newer area..i guess i dont need to explain in detail where it is since it is quite popular..
If you are looking for something to eat you can have this gigantic bread topped with ice cream
Not too bad, kinda cute..the serving choppingboard-plate
The atmosphere there is okay-typical student or adult hang out place
This is...Champange Grape - Champhange grape juice ice blended with layers of milk pudding
(It's one huge cup)
Crazy Mango - Ice blended mango juice layered with green apple puree
Passion Spring - Ice blended with strawberry pudding layers
*All the drinks above are approximately rm7
But their specialty would be the chocolate fondue
(a selection of fruits dipped in hot melted chocolate sauce)
Whoops i didnt manage to eat that!
The food there are quite attractive because of the colours and the fancy utensils but quite some people say that the fruit taste is a lacking..in other words their drinks only 'says' sweet..
It's not too bad to come here once in a while tho :p
Not alot of cafes serve these kind of drinks in Sandakan

Syn Ming Hing
Located in Sandakan town is the well known syn ming hing
(it's quite hidden if you ask me, as compared to chung ming hing)
They serve a whole lot more variety of cakes and breads compared to chung ming hing
(I am pretty hungry now, and being overseas and all atm i REALLY WANTED TO JUMP INTO THE PICTURE! :P)
Anyways back to the food;
Muk Shu Kou (Very nice taste and smell, love it)
Egg tarts - Can compete with Chung Ming Hing's egg tart
YUMMM
UFO~~~
After the 'death' of Chung Ming Hing's UFO i searched high and low for the perfect UFO and this is not too bad..(Tho the yellow part is abit little!)
See what i mean by the small amount of the yellowish part?
Right..better stop here and leave before i become homesick
I'll be back for more updates next time~

Satay/Sotong/Ikan Bakar
This is located beside the Sandakan Dewan Masyarakat (Community Hall)
I have no idea what name is that shop because i never paid attention to the name!
Closed during that time i took the picture
Recommendations are...SATAY..rumored to be the best satay in Sandakan
But unfortunately i was too lazy to take the pic of the satay XD
The sauce is abit hotter/spicier than the satay sauce from Shin Cheong Loong in Town Centre
But then they also have Ikan Bakar..Not bad
Looks abit dry here tho hehe
And oh i saved the best for the last...
SOTONG!!!-with a very nice curry smell but not really hot..crunchy too!
And the best part is that it is very addictive..i can finish the whole plate in 5 minutes!haha

Lee Kim
Located in Mile 8, exact location is...right after you drive/walk pass Servay Hypermarket
I am not so sure about what they are famous for..anyone care to enlighten me??
Anyways, i deicided to try their Siu Gai Kon Lou Mee (Chicken)
A little different from normal kon lou mee
because they use the sauce for the chicken/duck itself as the sauce for the mee also
This is Siu Ap Kon Lou Mee (Duck) - Not bad
And look what i found there, UFO~~
It is TALL but the yellowish part inside is...rather little
I still miss Chung Ming Hing's old UFO
Egg Tarts - Not too bad also..worth trying

Equatorial Restaurant
Locals sure know this restaurant very well as its always the place where locals held their wedding dinner and sometimes catering from them. The food? Of course it's.. SUPERB I LOVE THEM! They are located at Bandar Ramai-ramai, 2nd floor. Exact location..? Will be updated when I get to know how to explain it. They even have a branch at Tanjung Aru Plaza, Kota Kinabalu.
Mango Chicken (?)
I'm not a mango fan. However it is said that it goes kinda well.
Underneath the chicken skin, there's a slice of mango and under it, it's the something like chicken salad and lettuce. Not bad.
Jelly fish + some-clams
This dish is so appetizing because of the taste.
It's actually an appetizer.
Recommended
Zhit Kong Kuat ( Zhit Kwong bones?)
I seriously recommend this dish. It's actually pork.
The special thing is the sauce.
The pork too is JUICY.
PERSONAL FAVOURITE
Sui Jing Ha (Crystal Prawn ?)
The only place that can make the prawn sparkling like that is none other than Equatorial Restaurant. Seriously, other places just made it looks like some Mayonaise prawn.
The prawn is juicy and it's fresh. The sauce? The chef is so great to make the thing.. SHINING and SPARKLING *kirakira*pikapika*
PERSONAL FAVOURITE
Dunno-what-fish-dish
It's abit spicy. Not that spicy. Even I can't tolerate with spicy stuff can have it.
Not bad. The fish is fresh. The meat is...firm, which is nice.
(Missing name)
By right, if eaten at the restaurant itself I think this thing is actually in a SMALL wok. And I really mean SMALL wok. It has clams, mushrooms, fish maw and etc (which I don't know the names in English) I like this thing. The taste is very nice. Very-chinese.
(Missing name Soup)
This thing is not shark-fin soup or the crabmeat soup. If not mistaken it's actually a tofu soup.
However the taste is SOOO like the fish maw thick soup. It taste LIKE the fish maw soup, but it does have it's own taste as it's NOT a fish maw soup. Not bad. I like it.
Scallop + Celery (?)
It consist of scallops and celery and some other vege and mushrooms. As like the look, it's very CLEAR. This dish is light and clear, however the TASTE is there. It is SWEET. If you want me to put it in a culinary-term. It is as clear as a consomme, but it is full of taste like a consomme too.
RECOMMENDED
(I don't really know the exact names of the dishes. Will update once I know the names)

Images uploaded here are food from there, but not taken in the restaurant itself cause we have it at home. Means take-away. This place is a MUST GO.

Little Nanyang
I had ALWAYS wanted to try this shop..it was there since years ago but i haven't actually got the correct time and correct mood to step into this restaurant..
Btw it's located in Indah, same row as 7Heaven (i have yet to write a review on 7Heaven but i haven't the the chance to!!)
Anyways back to Little Nanyang
This..is..Ka Hiong Chicken Rice (Not too sure about the name, i didn't order this)
Nasi Lemak - rm6.90 (wuuu, my wallet is crying)
I didnt like the cucumber and the jeruk, other than that it was delicious
Teh C Ping, which i didn't order because it was quite expensive and i don't think it will be any better than the rm1.40 Teh C Ping that i can easily get from Pasar Kim Fung (refer to previous posts)
(I did order a drink - mineral water but they forgot about it T_T)
I don't think i will be coming back to this shop anytime soon because it is a little expensive and the service there is not quite up to par..(eventhough the nasi lemak rice is kinda aromatic hehe)
Maybe next time..
