Equator

The usual place to have a drink, eat, hang out, chat and enjoy the air-conditioned room in Sandakan..
And therefore...SO easy to bump into someone we know there (Sandakan is a really small place)
And also fully packed at night (Used to be so i assumed it still is haha)

Equator - at Taman Indah Mile 4

Order any variety of drinks you want..there are SO many choices, some taste almost the same but some are quite nice aha..

Ice Blended Vanilla (with any flavour you want eg: macadamia, oreo, hazelnut etc etc)

Ice Blended Mocha Latte

Or order any cakes there..

^Tiramisu - Been eating their tiramisu since...6 years ago or longer!
ps- you should try their Belgium Cheesecake!Though they don't sell it everyday
The place itself is quite comfortable

Plussss order 2 regular drink or 1 large drink to get a chop on the equator card and once you have collected 9 of those then you can get a free drink!plus a chance to take part in the lucky drawww..

Kedai Kopi Sentosa

Kedai Kopi Sentosa is located in where else....Of course in Taman Sentosa..you know the housing area above that 'famous' Taman Yeng Seng i mentioned in the last post??that's the one haha

The food is not bad, lots of students eat here during lunch break too - why?because it is cheap!

They are smart to open a shop here,
it's surrounded by whole Taman Sentosa housing area..
Housewives love to call and dapau(take away) food for their children since it's SO near and convenient..

Kuey Teaw Goreng Basah/Sap Chau Dai Fun

With sotong/squid, fish ball, PRAWNS, vege, pork?

Minced pork fried with Japanese Tofu and Rice

And lastly the most important 'side dish' - my favourite TEH C PING (aaa perfect for such a hot weather)

Overall cost for one Teh C Ping & one Sap Chau Dai Fun = rm5.00
Overall cost for one Teh C Ping & one Pork Tofu Rice = rm5.50

orange's addition.
thanks wx for the comment, yes, sweet n sour sauce pork rice (kou lou yuk fan) is a must try in this restaurant. sweet n sour sauce with onions, chilli, tomatoes, and red n green pepper, all cook together with their special tomato sauce and poured over freshly fried pork pieces serve with hot rice. One can always ask for more sauce to be served together.

other than that, the salted fish fried rice(ham yue chau fan) is also a personal favourite for me. i sentance to sum the dish up. tasty and cheap =)

Located in the tiny Taman Yeng Seng (aka small housing area under Taman Sentosa)

During early morning you can see lots of people from around the neighborhood yumcha and around noon you can see lots of kids in uniforms yumcha..i'd say it's quite popular haha

PS - Also known as the-shop-outside for people who stay in Taman Yeng Seng heh

Food that never changed for the past 20 years!

Loh Mai Kai/Sicky Rice(?)

Just look at the stickiness

Siew Mai..heh..i love this,
Maybe it doesnt look very appealing but i like the taste (biased biased!)

Black Kicap Mee Goreng plus ZaYuk/Fried Pork(?)

Imagine me eating this for 20 years...

And the best part...CHAR SIEW PAU

Gotta tell you that this is the best black char siew pau in Sandakan (Biased again!)

Sandakan

Sandakan is the second largest city in Sabah, Malaysia
Also known as the Nature City or Little Hong Kong

I found these small info from the wikipedia and i personally think that they are a LITTLE too commercialized so here's my thought of Sandakan

Tho not really big it is known as the second largest city in Sabah but in a way it is good because it takes minutes just to travel from one side of the town the other (considering the fact that Malaysian fuel price rose again - no comment *cough*stupid economic policies*cough*)

Sabah Map - Sandakan labeled RED

Also known as the Nature City eventhough i don't think it is near to becoming a City, probably they named it NATURE City because of its frequent blackouts and lacking of water supply at times

Sandakan Town Centre

Sandakan Town from Trig Hill

Sandakan Town

Sandakan is named as Little Hong Kong because you hear Cantonese speakers everywhere with some Malay, English, Manglish, Hakka, Mandarin etc etc...

ALSO..people from Sandakan are especially picky with their food - at least most of them?

PS- WE DON'T LIVE ON TREES..WE HAVE CARS AND ROADS AND INTERNET
